Die Ästhesiologie des Takts in Plessners Grenzen der Gemeinschaft
Elisabeth RädlerAbstract
The aesthesiology of tact in Plessner’s Limits of Community ( Grenzen der Gemeinschaft ). Plessner refers to tact in Grenzen der Gemeinschaft as a moral maxim of sociability. This paper presents a sense-theoretical foundation of tact. Tact can thus be understood as a kind of musical tactile listening or auditory touch, in which what matters is – in Plessner’s own words – to respond to the finest vibrations. The following investigation takes into account, on the one hand, the metaphorical expressions Plessner himself uses to define tact. On the other hand, it builds on Plessner’s own reflections on expression and perception.
