Alsu Nabieva, Ol'ga Kaurova, Alexander Maloletko, Aleksandr Tkach

The article examines the current state and development dynamics of the consumer cooperation procurement and processing complex in the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of statistical data and reporting indicators, the role of cooperation as an infrastructure and economic link of the agro-industrial complex is revealed, ensuring the marketability of small forms of farming (individual farms, collective farms) and supplying the population with basic food products. Special attention is paid to the quantitative and qualitative changes in the activities of cooperatives: the growth of milk, vegetable, and fruit processing volumes, the increase in the share of value-added products, and the expansion of the network of mini-shops and procurement points. The paper reflects the trends of digitalization in the industry, the growing participation of cooperatives in state programs for rural development, and the expansion of the export potential of cooperative products. An analysis has been conducted. The paper analyzes the financial and economic indicators of cooperative activities, including inventory turnover, the dynamics of overdue accounts receivable, and the structure of the loan portfolio. The paper highlights the key areas for modernizing the material and technical base, proposes measures to stimulate the development of mini-factories, integrate small farms into the cooperative system, improve financing mechanisms taking into account the seasonality of activities, and develop digital infrastructure. The necessity of forming a system for monitoring and evaluating the efficiency of the harvesting and processing complex at the federal and regional levels is substantiated. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of a set of recommendations aimed at increasing the sustainability and competitiveness of consumer cooperatives, strengthening their role in ensuring food security and social stability in rural areas.
