Development of students' practical skills through the use of training simulators at the Barnaul Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia
Lyudmila Mikhailovna OsintsevaThe subject of the study is the process of developing students' practical skills through educational simulators. The object of the study is the educational simulators used in practical classes at the Department of Computer Science and Special Equipment at the Barnaul Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Special attention is paid to identifying and comparing the performance indicators of students using traditional approaches and introducing simulator technologies. The article substantiates the effectiveness of using educational simulators to develop students' practical skills in the course of studying the discipline "Information and Communication Technologies in Professional Service Activities." The relevance of the study is due to the transition of educational standards to a competence-based model, which requires not only the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, but also the ability to apply it in conditions that are as close as possible to real professional activities. The study used methods of scientific and methodological literature analysis, pedagogical observation, and formative experimentation. Based on scientific research on the topic of interest, we have identified the key conditions for the effectiveness of the implementation of training simulators: methodological validity, reliability of modeling, interactivity and feedback system, compliance of the hardware and software complex with the assigned tasks, and implementation of diagnostic and educational functions. The relevance of training simulators in educational organizations is extremely high today and continues to grow, as many situations that are important for learning are either too rare or impossible in real life. Therefore, training simulators are necessary for the training of qualified personnel, which is in line with global educational trends, as modern standards require not just knowledge, but also the ability to apply it. Simulators are an ideal tool for developing practical skills. The results of assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of training simulators of the applied services of the ICD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in teaching the specified topic are systematized and visualized in the form of a diagram, which clearly demonstrates the comparative indicators of the development of practical skills in the experimental and control groups. Based on this, a conclusion is made about the expediency of integrating training technologies into the educational process of departmental universities.
