Determining the Prebiotic-Probiotic Knowledge Levels and Microbiota Awareness Levels of Health Professionals

The aim of this study is to determine the microbiota awareness levels, prebiotic and probiotic knowledge levels and consumption habits of health professionals and to reveal the relationship between them and some variables (gender, age, body mass index, income status, chronic health status, chronic diseases). The universe of the study consists of health professionals working in Şuhut State Hospital in Şuhut district of Afyonkarahisar province. The study was conducted with 120 volunteer health professionals between the ages of 20-65. The research data were collected using a face-to-face survey application method using a survey form specifically prepared for the study.The total score of the female participants in the study on the microbiota awareness scale was determined as 81,0±9,16, and that of the male participants was determined as 82,5±11,14.
