Design of the Resonant Coherent Scattering Beamline at the Hefei Advanced Light Facility

Abstract

The Resonant Coherent Scattering (RCS) beamline at the Hefei Advanced Light Facility (HALF) will provide resonant and coherent scattering capabilities in the soft-to-tender X-ray regime (250–4000 eV) for probing the nano- and mesoscale structures and dynamics of soft matter and quantum materials. Techniques including RSoXS, RTeXS, REXS, and XPCS will be available at the three endstations of the beamline. This work presents the optical design, anticipated performance, and scientific applications of the beamline.
