Design and Implementation of Real-Time Processing System for Optical Emotional Perception Signals Based on FPGA

Zhigang Chen

Abstract

Objective

Real-time monitoring of human emotional states is crucial for relieving individual psychological pressure and maintaining stable mental health. Traditional emotional signal processing suffers from delay and low accuracy, failing to capture subtle changes in mental states in time. This study designs an FPGA-based real-time processing system for optical emotional perception signals to achieve efficient signal analysis, support timely intervention of psychological pressure, and guarantee individual mental health stability.

Subjects and Methods

This study takes individuals with different levels of psychological pressure as test subjects. Combining optical perception technology and FPGA parallel processing architecture, it collects human emotional optical signals, designs hardware circuits and processing algorithms, and tests the system’s performance in identifying emotional fluctuations and abnormal mental states.

Results

The designed FPGA system realizes high-speed and low-delay real-time processing of optical emotional signals. It can accurately identify negative emotions and fluctuating mental states caused by psychological pressure, effectively capture subtle psychological changes, and provide reliable data support for evaluating and improving users’ mental health status.

Conclusions

The FPGA-based optical emotional perception system features high efficiency and stability. It achieves real-time accurate perception of emotional and mental state changes, helps track and alleviate cumulative psychological pressure, provides a new technical means for real-time mental state monitoring, and facilitates precise public mental health regulation.
