Design and Implementation of Multi-purpose Integrated Visualization System via Common Display Interface

A test range for multi-purpose Test and Evaluation(T&E) requires a systematic and comprehensive integrated control system for effective situational awareness during test operations. In this paper, we propose a conceptual model of a multi-purpose integrated control system utilizing 3D spatial visualization, considering recent development trends of representative weapon systems for T&E. To realize this concept, we designed the integrated control system using a common visualization data exchange method and developed a simulator to verify its functionality. The results confirmed that, while the existing local systems continued to operate their own displays, the integrated control system successfully performed real-time synchronized visualization through the common visualization interface.
