To improve the mission performance of modern aircraft, the analog-based display system is being converted to a digital-based integrated module method. The azimuth indicator installed in the existing aircraft used analog video signals, but this has problems such as limitations in signal processing and lack of system scalability. To solve this problem, SPM was developed to apply the VPX concept. The SPM is mounted on the EWC to digitize the analog signal received from the RWR. The converted signal is displayed on the DU and high-speed and high-precision image processing is possible through the FPGA-based processing method. This eliminates the need for separate analog display devices and image processing hardware, and enables weight reduction and integrated operation of equipment. As a result, SPM overcomes the limitations of existing analog systems and realizes a mission computercentric digital integrated structure, contributing to aircraft performance improvement and next-generation aviation electronic systems.
