Data contextualisation – The key to data reusability

Global daily data generation is estimated at 400 million terabytes, and the secondary benefits in the European Union alone amounted to approximately €2 billion in 2022, which is projected to rise to €7 billion by 2030 (1). The value of data lies in its use, and contextualising data is a sine qua non for its reusability. Creating contexts is what large language models (LLMs) do, but artificial intelligence’s inconsistent semantic linkage leads to the phenomenon of LLM hallucination.
