Cultivating New Economic Momentum: A Bibliometric Analysis of Cross‐Border Integration Between Artificial Intelligence and InsurTech

ABSTRACT

Against the backdrop of digital economy development and global economic momentum transformation, the integration of artificial intelligence and InsurTech has become a key driver of high‐quality economic growth. Based on 137 empirical papers from the Web of Science Core Collection (2012–2026), this paper conducts a bibliometric analysis to systematically review the research evolution, core themes, methodologies and global distribution of AI–InsurTech integration, focusing on its economic effects and momentum transmission mechanisms. Results show that studies have shifted from technology application to economic efficiency and institutional governance, forming five core knowledge clusters. Micro‐level research dominates while macroeconomic analysis remains insufficient. The global research pattern features the rapid rise of Asia and steady development in Europe and the US, and empirical methods are moving toward rigorous causal identification. We identify three major gaps in theoretical mechanisms, causal identification and institutional ethics, and propose future research directions. This study clarifies the logic of technology–finance integration driving economic momentum transformation and provides implications for theory and policy.
