Cross-dehydrogenative coupling macrocyclization for the construction of donor–acceptor nanohoops

Catalytic cross-dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) and a mild reductive elimination strategy furnished a donor–acceptor nanohoop architecture. Direct C–H activation leads to high atom- & step economy. Guest-dependent solid-state properties were studied.
