Creating The Big Production : Devising Performance alongside Actor-Creators with IDDs

In this forum piece, the author reflects on her experiences collaborating with an ensemble of actor-creators with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) toward a devised performance titled The Big Production . In support of advancing the theory and practice of devised performance-making with actor-creators with IDDs, the author shares insight into the values of community-building, interpersonal connection, and creative agency through collaborative improvisation.
