Cosmological Reconstruction and Thermodynamic Analysis of Hybrid Barrow–Ricci Holographic and QCD Ghost Dark Energy

The current study reports a reconstructed dark-energy model combining Barrow holographic Ricci dark energy (BHDE) with QCD ghost dark energy (GDE) in an effective f(T) description. We have examined two prescriptions: an additive BHDE–GDE sector and a correspondence between the two components. Three scale factors, namely hybrid, linear truncation, and quadratic truncation, have been constrained using Cosmic Chronometer (CC) data. We have reconstructed f(T) from the first modified Friedmann equation and evaluated a normalized residual of the second equation. As the pressure has been obtained from the continuity relation, this residual is not an independent consistency test. We have also examined the power-law ansatz fPL(T)=T+β(−T)m. Under the adopted source-density normalization, this ansatz has exhibited appreciable field-equation residuals over the relevant redshift range and does not consistently reproduce the prescribed backgrounds. For the reconstructed function, we have evaluated the effective-fluid stability diagnostic and horizon thermodynamics. The adiabatic effective-fluid sound speed has been found to be negative at the present epoch for all three scale factors and developed poles at finite redshift, whereas the horizon entropy-production rate has been positive for the adopted Barrow normalization. These findings are conditional on the reference parameter choices, reconstruction prescription, and diagonal-error likelihood used for the CC data.
