Corporate Operational Risks, Management Psychological Pressure and Mental Health: Mechanism of Emotional Disturbance Affecting Corporate Investment Decisions
Xiwei JiaoAbstract
Objective
Frequent corporate operational risks impose long-term psychological pressure on management teams, trigger persistent emotional disturbance and unbalanced mental states, damage managers’ mental health, and generate biased judgment in corporate investment activities. This paper explores the transmission logic from operational risks to management psychological pressure, reveals how negative mental states interfere with investment decisions, and seeks paths to relieve occupational pressure and maintain stable mental health of executives.
Subjects and Methods
This study selects listed companies and their senior management as research samples. It adopts panel data regression, psychological indicator measurement and cross-disciplinary theoretical analysis, explores the chain correlation among operational risk exposure, management psychological pressure, fluctuating mental states and mental health status, and identifies the intermediate effect of emotional disturbance.
Results
Higher operational risk significantly raises management psychological pressure and aggravates emotional disturbance, forming disordered mental states that impair executives’ mental health and lead to conservative or aggressive biased investment decisions. Effective risk buffer mechanisms ease psychological burden, stabilize mental conditions, improve mental health, and rationalize corporate investment arrangements.
Conclusions
Corporate operational risks act as core inducements of management psychological pressure and emotional disturbance. Establishing risk sharing and psychological support systems can mitigate cumulative occupational pressure, correct abnormal mental states, protect executives’ long-term mental health, and help enterprises formulate scientific and stable investment strategies.
