Conversations Among the Three Editors: Seungho, Mary, and Jeana
Seungho Moon, Mary Newbery, Jeana M. HrepichAbstract
In this introductory chapter, the three editors engage in an ongoing conversation to articulate the context, purpose, and importance of this book. Rather than framing the introduction as a fixed statement, they use dialog as both method and inquiry, inspired by Miller’s vision of curriculum as a “community without consensus.” Through their evolving exchange, the editors introduce how this book emerged from shared gratitude and intellectual kinship, exploring Miller’s profound influence as teacher, mentor, and theorist. Their conversation resists closure, unfolding as a living dialog that mirrors the relational and reflexive spirit that Miller cultivated in her scholarship and life. They invite readers to join this conversation and to engage with the multiple voices, memories, and theoretical insights that continue to shape and extend Miller’s feminist and postfoundational legacy in curriculum studies.
