Convergence of Scientific Knowledge in Socio-Cultural Processes and Scientific Paradigms of the 21st Century

Alexey Vladimirovich Zykin, Mihail Anatol'evich Aref'ev

The article deals with an urgent problem of modern science – the place and role of the convergence of scientific knowledge in the socio-cultural processes of modernity. Convergence is interpreted both in general scientific terms, when it embodies a tendency towards convergence of phenomena of reality having similar properties, and in a specific scientific understanding. In this regard, the factology of the convergence process was reflected in the formation of synergetics, which became the complex of ideas and scientific paradigms that characterize the scientific revolution of the turn of the XX–XXI centuries. The authors of the article focus on the fact that in the synergetic paradigm, according to Russian scientists, the problem of determinism is significant, which in socio-cultural practice results in increased attention to human creative activity. In the field of educational systems, this is an emphasis on the formation of ideological attitudes among the younger generations, especially student youth. In the current conditions of the crisis of spirituality in Russian society, this resulted in the introduction of such new historical and ideological disciplines as "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" and "History of Religions in Russia" into the educational process, requiring the creation of a culture-creating sphere in the educational environment, where the harmonious unity of scientific knowledge and humanitarian values has become urgent and everyday. Using the theoretical and methodological principles of the historicism principle, the authors emphasize the need for a theoretical development of the idea of convergence of scientific knowledge in modern conditions. This is also due to the problems of a socio-humanitarian nature that are realized in a post-industrial (information) society, where the risks and challenges from technology and innovation have significantly increased to the very essence of man as a person, his spiritual and anthropological nature.
