Contradiction-Oriented Plithogenic Decision Model Improved with T-Norm and T-Conorm Operators
Hamiyet Merkepçi This study explores the application of Plithogenic Set Theory, a comprehensive generalization of crisp, fuzzy, intuitionistic fuzzy, and neutrosophic sets, designed to model complex systems characterized by multi-attribute elements. Within the plithogenic framework, each element is defined by a diverse set of attributes, where membership degrees are computed independently based on distinct attribute values and predefined evaluation criteria. While traditional plithogenic multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) models predominantly rely on static membership degrees, this research introduces a transformative approach by prioritizing the contradiction degree (c) as the fundamental operational parameter. The proposed decision-making mechanism is an alternative to traditional multi-criteria decision-making frameworks by considering the dynamic interactions and internal conflicts between attribute values. To validate this approach, the contradiction-based plithogenic model was integrated with the Weighted Aggregates Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. This hybrid framework aims to enhance evaluative precision by utilizing t-norm and t-conorm operations within the plithogenic aggregation process. Ultimately, the purpose of this study is to explore how plithogenic aggregation operations handle structural contradictions, providing an alternative to traditional set types. To further enhance the robustness of the model, t-norm and t-conorm operations are utilized in the plithogenic aggregation processes.
