Constructing Mo–O–Ni anchoring bonds by room temperature solid-state reduction to drive hydrogen spillover for saturated hydrogenation of naphthalene

Mo–O–Ni anchoring bonds for hydrogen spillover constructed via room temperature solid-state reduction. 12%-PMA@Ni enables efficient deep hydrogenation of naphthalene to decalin. DFT reveals H 2  barrier 0.31 eV and naphthalene adsorption −1.75 eV.
