CONSTRAINTS IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS IN KADUNA STATE

The Nigeria Government both Federal and States have initiated olicies and legislation for the protection and preservation of the environment. Various legislation were made to deal with specific and eneral matters that affect the environment. Protection and preservation ofthe environment 1s not only the concern of Nigerian government, it 1$ roday 4 global agenda. For a country to achieve success in maintaining 4 healthy environment, it must have made the necessary policies and legislation. However it is one thing to have the policies and legislation and yet another thing to have them implemented or enforced. Therefore it becomes necessary as well to have an effective.enforcement machinery. This paper will examine the various environmental regulations and the constrains of the agencies charged with he responsibility of enforcement.
