‘Connecting Borders’: The 18th World Congress of Music Therapy, Bologna, 7–12 July 2026

What connects the music therapy profession across the world? This was the theme of the 18th World Congress of Music Therapy, held in Bologna from 7 to 12 July 2026. The theme was explicit in the conference title ‘Connecting Borders: Creating networks and enhancing identities through music therapy’, but it was also present implicitly as a question. What can connect such a global and diverse profession in an increasingly diverse and divided world?
