Congenital vitiligo vulgaris with overlying unilateral nevus of ota in a young female − A rare amalgamation

It is an autoimmune disorder characterized by the development of depigmented macules secondary to chronic melanocytic disappearance in the epidermis and hair follicles. The nevus of Ota is a rare congenital dermal melanocytic disorder characterized by bluish-black to grayish-brown diffuse pigmentation of facial skin and mucous membranes in the distribution of the ophthalmic, maxillary, and occasionally the mandibular divisions of the facial nerve . The association of nevus of Ota with vitiligo is a rare amalgamation. Therefore, we report a rare coexistence of vitiligo vulgaris with overlying dermal melanocytosis in a 32-year-old female.
