Conformational Lability of Bispidine as a Route to New Polycyclic Compounds

In this study, novel tricyclic compounds based on bispidine were prepared via a Michael addition–Henry domino reaction. This reaction sequence proceeds under mild conditions with high diastereoselectivity. Postsynthetic transformation pathways for the resulting nitro alcohols were demonstrated, leading to tricyclic amino alcohols of various structures.
