The present study was conducted to assess the efficacy of commercial topical acaricides (deltamethrin, amitraz and malathion) against the cattle tick, Rhipicephalus microplus collected from Jammu region of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Adult immersion test (AIT) was conducted using field recommended concentrations of topical acaricides. Ten ticks were used for each acaricide with three replications (n=30). After seven days of treatment, 08 and 18 ticks did not lay eggs in deltamethrin and malathion treated groups, respectively indicating 26.7 and 60.0% efficacy, whereas all the ticks died in amitraz treated group. The results indicated 100.0% susceptibility of R. microplus ticks against amitraz.
