Comparative analysis of the characteristics of formation of learning motivation in first-year university students

The purpose of the study is to identify and compare the specific features of motivation for learning activity among first-year students of psychology and non-psychology majors. Research methods and organization. To achieve this goal, a set of diagnostic methods aimed at studying key aspects of academic motivation was selected. Data collection was carried out using standardized test questionnaires in paper format, followed by computer processing of the results. Statistical data processing was performed using the SPSS-27 software. Research results and conclusions. The results of the study and the conclusions formulated on their basis open the way to the creation of a psychological-pedagogical program. This program, based on an understanding of the psychological characteristics of students in psychology and non-psychology fields, will contribute to the formation of sustainable academic motivation among first-year students.
