Abstract

This article offers a commentary on the section devoted to Statius, Thebaid 5 in Johannes Fredericus Gronovius’s Scholae privatae in Publii Papinii Statii Thebaida (Berlin, Staatsbibliothek-Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Ms. lat. 4° 522). It accompanies the critical edition of this section published in the present issue, and concentrates on the textual observations contained in this section of the Scholae .
