A.V. Maksimova, N.S. TataurshchikovaThe problem of recurrent acute respiratory infections (ARI) and chronic herpesvirus infections remains one of the most urgent in modern clinical practice. This article discusses the therapeutic potential of inosine pranobex (groprinosin) a drug with a dual mechanism of action (immunomodulatory and direct antiviral). Based on modern clinical studies, the effectiveness of the drug in reducing the infectious load, shortening the duration of the disease, and prolonging remission in immunocompromised patients is analyzed.
