Clear cell hidradenoma of the breast: An uncommon mimicker of primary breast malignancy
Aarosh Dhamija, Surabhi Vyas, Krithika RangarajanClear cell hidradenoma (CCH) of the breast is extremely rare, with only about 35 cases reported worldwide and scant literature detailing its imaging findings, especially magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) appearance. There are very few reported cases emphasizing imaging from the Indian setting. Lack of reporting likely results from poor awareness of this entity, its benign or cyst-like appearance on sonography, which may lead to inadvertent aspiration, mistaking it for a cyst/abscess, or leading to the collapse of the lesion on (FNAC). We describe the imaging features, including MRI and contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) findings, of this rarely reported entity.
