ABSTRACT

Serving as an emerging subclass of crystalline porous frameworks, chiral hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (CHOFs) integrate permanent porosity, structural flexibility, chirality, and beyond. CHOFs have achieved broad application interest in fields of enantioselective recognition, asymmetric catalysis, circularly polarized luminescence, photothermal conversion, and biomedicine. In this review, we first summarize the construction strategies of CHOFs including direct assembly, post‐modification, and indirect induction, together with showcasing representative prototypes. We then discuss the application performances of CHOFs across separation, catalysis, optics, photothermal conversion, and biomedicine, highlighting comparative advantages over other types of crystalline porous frameworks like metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent–organic frameworks (COFs). The existing challenges and future outlooks of this emerging field are also proposed. This review provides a systematic framework connecting CHOF assembly strategies to their applications and identifies concrete directions for future development.
