Cerium-induced amorphization of Fe–Mn oxide for synergistic oxidation and adsorption of arsenic

Ce incorporation disrupts crystalline order, forming an amorphous, defect- and hydroxyl-rich Ce-doped Fe–Mn composite oxide with abundant active binding sites, thereby enhancing arsenic adsorption capacity.
