Cell Size Determination of Polymeric Foams

The measurement of cell diameters and cell size distributions in polymeric foams can be hampered by poor visual contrast whilst they are under examination by optical or other types of microscopy. A technique of improving this situation by filling exposed cells with pigmented resin is described as a contribution to facilitating their structural analysis.
