CCA Passive Vibration Damper

This paper summarizes the approach used to design and implement polyurethane elastomeric dampers between a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and a metal chassis. The dampers were added to reduce high CCA vibration levels experienced during random vibration testing. The paper addresses damper-level design, analysis, build and test issues, and electronics assembly-level analysis and testing results.
