Case Studies

Pasi Heikkurinen

Abstract

Chapter 12 expounds the process orientation with three case studies. The first case challenges the hegemony of utility in natural resource management, especially in the context of forest policy. The second case discusses the reason that the question of the extent to which urban farming can guarantee food security is significant and assesses the limitations of urban farming and food initiatives in the city to deliver sustainability. The third case concerns the internet, a focal process to our present timespace, and confronts the digitalization narrative of saving time and the planet. The chapter ends by giving a rebirth to tragedy.
