Breakout Session 5: Policy Considerations and External Partner Coordination

The Policy Considerations and External Partner Coordination breakout session focused on participants’ real-world experience with policies unique to alternate care facilities (ACFs), and also considered coordination between ACFs and external partners. These partners included state or local public health, state or local emergency management, regulatory agencies, and other response partners. Participants discussed who these partners were, how they built these connections, organizational relationships and culture that emerged, and how this impacted any aspect of the ACF planning, activation, and operations. Discussion focused on what participants did, rather than proposing solutions and solving problems.
