Objective: This study reports a case of blood pressure stabilization accompanied by improvement in headache and posterior cervical pain following Korean medicine treatment, including acupuncture and wet cupping therapy. Results: During the hospitalization period (February 19-March 2, 2026), the patient’s blood pressure “exhibited variability" during the early and middle phases of hospitalization, followed by "gradual stabilization" toward discharge. Prior to admission, blood pressure variability accompanied by headache and posterior cervical pain "persisted" during outpatient management. During hospitalization, blood pressure ranged from 120-140/80-90 mmHg in the mid-phase and demonstrated a relatively stable range of approximately 120-130/70-80 mmHg toward discharge. In addition, headache and posterior cervical pain improved from a Numerical Rating Scale score of 6-7 at admission to 2-3 at discharge. Conclusions: This case suggests that improvement in posterior cervical pain following Korean medicine treatment may be associated with autonomic regulation and secondary changes in blood pressure patterns. However, as this is a single retrospective case report, further studies are needed to clarify the underlying mechanisms and clinical significance of these findings.
