BLACK YOUTH FUTURES: An Ode to the Remix

Drawing on the remix tradition of the ’90s and 2000s and the animating works of Bruce W. Smith and Kalynn Bayron, the commentary and ode argue that Black remix (an aesthetic practice, survival technology, and liberatory pedagogy) is essential to imagining and building the futures Black girls deserve.
