BIOFERTILIZERS AND BIOENHANCERS: A SUSTAINABLE PATHWAY FOR ORGANIC FRUIT CULTIVATION: A REVIEW

Biofertilizers and bioenhancers are crucial parts of this system that improve soil and plant health by using natural and biological processes. By fixing nitrogen, solubilizing phosphate, and managing soil pathogens, biofertilizers that contain beneficial microbes including Rhizobium, Azotobacter, and mycorrhizal fungi enhance nutrient cycling. Strong plant growth is the outcome of this. Bioenhancers accelerate plant metabolism, increase resilience to abiotic challenges such salt, drought, and severe temperatures, and improve nutrient usage efficiency. Humic acids, seaweed extracts, and rhizobacteria that promote plant growth are examples of natural or microbial sources of these substances. These biological inputs support sustainable horticulture by boosting soil biodiversity, enhancing fruit quality, and ensuring consumer and environmental safety. Thus, the use of biofertilizers and bioenhancers is essential to strong, effective, and ecologically conscious organic fruit production systems.
