Beyond the Headlines: The Hidden Registered Nurse (RN) Workforce in North Carolina

Drawing on licensure data, surveys, and program evidence, this commentary identifies why nurses disengage and outlines a five-part, near-term strategy to re-engage this workforce using existing state infrastructure.
