Assessing the Impact of Working Capital Procurement Management on the Performance of an Agricultural Enterprise
V. Ivanova, E. Ablemitova, A. BachurinaThis article examines the impact of working capital procurement management on the performance of crop production enterprises. The relevance of the study stems from the need to optimize inventory in the context of seasonal production and highly volatile prices for raw materials. Using three agricultural organizations in the Krasnodar Krai (Vasyurinsky Agroholding LLC, Pobeda Agrofirm LLC, and Kropotkinskoye JSC) as examples for 2021-2025, an analysis was conducted of the dynamics of inventory turnover periods, accounts receivable and payable, operating and financial cycles, profitability indicators, liquidity, and cash flows. A direct correlation was found between accelerated inventory turnover and increased net profit. It was found that an inventory ratio of more than 0.5 to current assets indicates ineffective rationing. It was shown that the positive effect of inventory optimization can be offset by an imbalance in payments to customers and suppliers. Target turnover indicators and practical recommendations for improving purchasing policies are proposed, allowing for an increase in return on equity to 10-15% and a reduction in the cash flow cycle.
