Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Bahrain’s Banking Sector: A Comprehensive Literature Review

Abstract

The banking sector is currently undergoing a significant transformation by artificial intelligence (AI) implementation. The study endeavours to foster an understanding of the nexus of AI implementation and the quality of strategic decision-making in Bahrain’s banking sector. At the managerial level, the selection and adaptation of an appropriate AI strategy shall be tailored based on its unique requirements. The AI strategy formulation process encompasses several critical steps, including setting organizational objectives, analysing organizational environment, reaching goals aligned with practical plans, evaluating performance and selecting principles. The study reviews the existed literature through defining AI and decision-making, exploring AI adoption in banking and elucidating the AI impact on decision-making processes. The study aims to provide valuable insights into the strategic AI implementation in Bahrain’s banking sector and its implications on decision-making effectiveness.
