Architecting Digital Engineering Requirements for Risk Management & Systems Architecting

Abstract

This paper describes the risk management and system architecting digital thread within Digital Engineering (DE). It uses a systems engineering methodology that begins at source processes and ultimately provides component‐level requirements that software tools will need to satisfy to provide the risk management and system architecting digital thread capability. The risk management and system architecting digital thread is analyzed throughout each step of the systems engineering methodology. The methodology used is also presented as a way other DE digital threads can be analyzed from source processes to component‐level requirements.
