Application Research of Smart Wearable Devices in Intelligent Public Health Services for Community Elderly
Linfeng Zhang, Enyu GuoIntensified population aging has continuously increased the pressure on community-based chronic disease management, home safety monitoring and mental health services for the elderly. Conventional public health services mainly rely on regular physical examinations and passive follow-up visits, which are plagued by delayed data, extensive monitoring, lack of early warning mechanisms and slow emergency response. To improve the refined management of elderly health at the grassroots level, this paper takes community home-based elderly care as the research scenario. Supported by smart wearable devices, a standardized data collection framework, multi-dimensional data fusion system, systematic psychological assessment module and intelligent hierarchical early warning mechanism are constructed, forming a full closed-loop smart health monitoring model of "collection-analysis-intervention-feedback". Analysis shows that the smart wearable technology proposed in this scheme enables 24-hour non-intrusive vital sign monitoring, home risk early warning and emergency linkage rescue for the elderly. It can support the establishment of a systematic active health management model and make up for the shortcomings of active health management in grassroots public health services. The system can significantly reduce the risks of acute exacerbation of chronic diseases and home falls among the elderly, optimize the efficiency of community health and elderly care services, and provide a replicable practical scheme for the construction of intelligent grassroots public health services amid population aging.
