Application of gamification methods in order to increase the motivation of university students in the field of physical training

The problem of low motivation for physical training of students is one of the key for the process of teaching a physical education course in higher education, which determines the low performance of the corresponding educational process. One of the modern ways to overcome this problem may be the realization of the pedagogical potential of gamification methods that meet the current needs of student youth in the field of visibility, interactivity, dynamism, problem-finding nature of physical education. The article examines the concept of gamification, its key advantages in comparison with traditional methods of studying physical education at the university. The main methods of gamification are disclosed in order to increase the motivation of university students in the field of physical training, which are the introduction of a game point-rating system, the organization of sports-oriented quests, the use of elements of fidgital sports.
