ANTICOAGULATION FOR EXTRACORPOREAL DETOXIFICATION METHODS. REVIEW OF LITERATURE
D. KUTEPOV, I. PASEChNIKThe extracorporeal detoxification methods are widely used in everyday practice. Contact between blood and surfaces of the extracorporeal blood circuit, columns/dialyzers initiates coagulation. Activation of the blood coagulation system can result in development of both thrombosis and hemorrhagic complications. This problem is solved through the use of anticoagulants which allow conducting long sessions of extracorporeal detoxification methods, and this survey focuses on principal types of anticoagulants actually used for extracorporeal blood detoxification.
