Anti-lypodistrophbic injectable devices in the management of cellulite in a patient with chronic inflammatory risk factors

Anna Baker, Tracey Dennison

Cellulite is a commonly occurring skin concern, which disproportionately occurs in females, and is thought to affect between 80-90% of post pubertal individuals ( Gabriel et al, 2023

). Clinically, it presents as dimpling causing an uneven and pitted appearance to the skin, and may potentially have a significant impact on psychological well being ( Atamoros et al, 2018
). In spite of its' prevalence, cellulite has historically been misunderstood to be a condition influenced by excessive weight ( Arora et al, 2022
). Current evidence challenges this hypothesis and this paper will disseminate contemporaneous literature with discussion around a licensed injectable technology, supported by case study outcomes.
