Anonimia, atribución y función-autor en la tradición impresa de los poemas burlescos de Cupido del romancero nuevo (1589–1604)

David Galicia Lechuga

Abstract

This article examines authorship in the burlesque Cupid romances of the romancero nuevo (1589–1604), whose printed transmission in the Flores de romances and the Romancero general was mostly anonymous. In contrast to traditional attributions, it shows that such proposals respond more to critical constructions than to documentary evidence. The cases of Góngora and Lasso de la Vega illustrate how the tension among orality, writing, and publishing shaped the notion of author in the Spanish Golden Age.
