Angina Pectoris: Eine Seltene Ursache von Kopfschmerzen

Urs N. Dürst, Roberto Tartini

Angina pectoris a rare cause of exertional headache. We report a 58-year-old man with cardiovascular risk factors who complained of headache without chest pain. He had no history of headache. This headache was the first and only symptom of a severe coronary artery disease with a significant stenosis of the RCA. After the angioplasty with stent the headache was totally relieved. Based on this patient and a review in the literature, we conclude that myocardial ischaemia is a rare and treatable cause of exertional headache.
