Natalia Sungurova, Ekaterina Kulizhnikova, Dar'ya Krasovskaya, Svetlana StrazdauskeneThe relevance of research is due to the need for a comprehensive study of green spaces on the territory of medical and health institutions in the conditions of the North-West of the Russian Federation. In the course of this work, the study of woody and shrubby vegetation, flower design and living ground cover on the territory of the Solonikha sanatorium, located in the Arkhangelsk region, was carried out. At the same time, a complete inventory of the plantations was carried out, and the vitality and decorative value of the plants were determined. The overall condition of the plants was classified into three categories (good, satisfactory, and poor), and the ornamental value of individual plants was assessed using a 4-point scale. It has been established that there are 791 trees on the territory of the sanatorium, of which 88% are in good condition and 46% have the highest decorative score (4 points). There are 4 species and 236 specimens of shrubs. 90% of the shrub species are in good condition, and 65% have the highest decorative value. The most common species are native conifers, namely Pinus sylvestris L. (22%) and Picea abies (L.) H. Karst. (16%). The floral design is represented by various types of flower beds: flowerbed, rabatka, mixborder, group, etc. The largest number of plant species at the research site are annuals, but perennial crops are also used here Bergenia crassifolia (L.) Fritsch, Phlox paniculata L., Asparagus officinalis L. The results of the research can be used in the planning of the landscaping system of medical and health institutions both in the Arkhangelsk agglomeration and beyond.
