Objective: To explore the application effect of nursing risk management in the nursing management of head and neck cancer surgery. Method: Inpatients admitted to the head and neck cancer surgery department of our hospital were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method. The control group implemented routine nursing management, while the observation group introduced nursing risk management on the basis of routine nursing, including risk assessment, risk identification, risk plan formulation, and targeted intervention measures implementation. Comparing the incidence of nursing adverse events, nursing satisfaction, and nursing quality scores between two groups of patients, the observation group had a significantly lower incidence of nursing adverse events than the control group (P<0. 05); The nursing satisfaction score and overall satisfaction rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0. 05); The nursing quality scores and total scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group in all dimensions (P<0. 05), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: The application of nursing risk management in head and neck cancer surgery nursing management can effectively reduce the risk of nursing adverse events, improve patient satisfaction with nursing services, and has clinical promotion value.
