Abdullahi Aweis Abu, Habib Ahmed

The previous chapter outlined the research methodology used for this book to address the research questions. It reviewed the research philosophies and approaches and explained the sampling technique. Additionally, the chapter provided a detailed discussion of the data collection methods and the data analysis tools used to analyze the data and present the results.

This chapter presents the descriptive statistics of the variables included in the empirical part of the research. The chapter begins with an introduction that provides an overview of the banks in the sample examined. The second section analyzes the disclosure index adopted for the study. While the third section provides detailed descriptive statistics for the study variables for both Islamic and conventional banks, the fourth section presents a correlation analysis to examine intercorrelations among the variables. The chapter also discusses the findings, focusing on differences between Islamic and conventional banks.
