Alternative methods for testing hypotheses in analysis of data with clumping at zero are discussed and the following ones are specially represented: a maximum likelihood ratio test using χ 2 approximation, an exact test, a test based on the asymptotic normality of maximum likelihood estimates, a nonparametric test.
